Goals for 2008:
The proposed
2007-08 plan is:
a.
Advance the technical capability of continuously monitoring and
sensing low levels of chemical and biological contaminants
b.
Increase the number of externally funded projects
c.
Formation of NWI Users Group (Wastewater Treatment Plant
User's Group)
d.
Develop PWI Laboratory
e.
Develop certificate programs in the areas of Integrated Water
Resource Management (IWRM) and Water Security for current
professionals as well as students
f.
Designing an early warning system to protect against
potential threats to critical water facilities and distribution
systems.
g.
Continue to develop a certificate program in Integrated Water
Resource Management for training professionals and interested
technical workforce on basic and advanced tools and technologies
