PURDUE WATER INSTITUTE

Education Program

The education program of the Purdue Water Institute is being developed to cater to current professionals as well as new students to the water resource and related research activities. Students will be offered two certificates in the areas of Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) and Water Security.

The IWRM certificate will introduce professionals and graduate students to policy, planning, regulatory and related decision making tools and techniques for better management of water resource issues and integration of new water technology into the policy/decision making process.

The Water Security certificate will teach students about the latest in the engineering and science aspects and developments in the areas, such as water quality monitoring, water treatment applications, sensor technology and the links of these areas to water-related business and economic development on-going and future potential new activities.

The education program launched in 2006. Sample and current courses offered are listed below.
