Description We offer two minors in Mathematics, one in Pure Mathematics and the other in Applied Mathematics. Both programs are described below. Minor in Mathematics (23 credit hours) Course Requirements: MA 16300 – Integrated Calculus and Analytic Geometry I (5 Cr.) MA 16400 – Integrated Calculus and Analytic Geometry II (5 Cr.) MA 26100 – Multivariate Calculus (4 Cr.) MA 26500 – Linear Algebra MA 31500 – Introduction to Abstract Mathematics One of the following: MA 44600 – Real Analysis MA 45300 – Elements of Algebra Prerequisites: MA 16300 requires High School precalculus or MA 15900 MA 44600 requires Differential Equations (MA 26400) The prerequisites for MA 45300 are contained in the five required courses.
