Graduate Studies in Education encompasses a variety of programs and research areas, and offers many degree and certification options for the educational, counseling, and technology professional.

Our Programs

Purdue University Calumet's School of Education offers advanced degrees and specialization in several programs:

Administration:

A master's degree in educational administration is a first step to a school leadership position such as school principal or superintendent.

Counseling:

Master's degree programs and licensure are available in School Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, and Human Services. Certification is also available in Addictions Counseling.

Special Education:

Special education programs support the civil rights movement on behalf of people with special needs and their families. By promoting positive self-concept, enhancing independence, and inspiring self advocacy, coursework emphasizes education's purpose of maximizing opportunities for all students to achieve their potential. Programs include (1) Mild Intervention Licensure, (2) Intense Intervention Licensure, (3) Master of Science in Special Education and (4) Director of Exceptional Needs Licensure.

Instructional Technology:

A master degree or certification in instructional technology prepares you for the world of training, development, human performance, and instructional design. Curriculum is flexible, allowing students to pursue careers in higher education, K-12 education, industry, health, or the corporate world.
