Biography
Heather Cook is an Academic Advisor for the Communication and
Creative Arts Department. Heather advises undergraduate students,
teaches courses in the department, and edits the department
newsletter, The Communicator. In 2002, she earned her B.A. in
English literature at Purdue University Calumet, graduating with
highest distinction and recognized by the Department of English and
Philosophy as its outstanding senior. She continued to pursue her
master of arts in communication, which she earned in 2004. Heather
was the 2003-2004 John S. Tuckey Fellow
for her research on 19th Century Indiana author Angeline
Gruey Teal. While working on her
master’s degree, Heather was also a graduate teaching assistant and
received the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award in 2004.
